He wouldn't go from 98 to 90 in one year if it was just aging. There's a physical or mechanics problem. Like last year when he wasn't keeping his head straight and his.control was all jacked.

Couldn't a torn core muscle that required surgical repair do it?

That's what I mean. If it's physical (he's not completely healed, or it healed improperly) then there needs to be a significant follow up physical therapy or surgery to correct the problem. But what a lot of people seem to be saying is that he's just suddenly lost the velocity because he's an aging pitcher. Successful surgeries almost never result in this kind of loss of velocity if the healing is complete.

This is most concerning to me. Seems like Verlander is too stubburn to admit something is wrong. His stuff has not been good. There's a reason he is the league leader in hits allowed and earned runs given up this year, not just over the last 7 starts.

His stubbornness is legendary. Remember when the pitching coach came out during the WS after he's given up a few hits and he says "what the **** are you doing here?" then promptly gives up a three run shot to Pablo Sandoval?

He has to be told when he doesn't have it. Somebody needs to step up.

Okay, let's say he's injured. That presents these two questions:

1. Wouldn't the first people to know that Justin Verlander is injured be Justin Verlander and the coaching staff? Wouldn't you think they would've done something about it?
2. If they are letting him play through it, how come no adjustments have been made whatsoever? None. He doesn't have his fastball. That's fairly significant for him because when he doesn't have the heat it makes all of his pitches fairly hittable when there isn't that much of a difference in speed nor movement. Any way you look at it, he's not the same pitcher right now and he's getting absolutely hammered.

Tigers won't even win the central. Kansas City will win it.

The Kate Upton thing is bs. She's hot, no doubt. But come on there are hotter chicks walking around EL every single school year. And that's just mid Michigan.

Verlander is done. I wish everyone would accept it and move on. 971 has become obsessed. Every day, all day.

I'm calling bull shit...Post one pick of an EL girl as hot as an SI swimsuit or Victoria Secret model.

Every time I watch MSU bball games I have yet to see one girl in the Izzone that comes close.  bounce

Kate Upton is like totally hot. I am willing to bet that if she was on campus as a 22 year old she would be THE hottest girl on campus.

I agree. But I'm going to go a bit contrarian here. I don't think Upton is other worldly 'the hottest chick EVAR' like a lot of others seem to. First, let me say that she is beautiful, and I am talking model/celebrity/internet hot, not real life hot. I can hit the google and find 20 chicks I'd rather bone in 10 minutes. Her body is just kinda long and flat outside of her large tittays.

2/10. Would not bang.

Ok that last part was exaggerated for effect.
