If we would only pass a law outlawing rifles that would have stopped this shooting with a pistol.

Or maybe another gun free zone law, like make campuses Super Really Gun Free Zones - when these people see those signs they'll turn around for sure. Of course in this case it was a copy that brought the gun to the campus illegally.

And I think we should pass a stronger law telling people not to shoot their parents or classmates. If only that had been in place this would have never happened.

With those laws in place that kid would have thought twice before killing his parents. Breaking 23 laws would have deterred him much more effectively than breaking 17 laws.

If there were a way to magically have no one have guns, sign me up. But Pandora's box has been wide open for ages, so I'm not sure what the answer is. Confiscation vs. do nothing, and neither seems workable.

If abortions were outlawed in the U.S., would there still be abortions? Would there still be as many of them?

Is the best way to stop abortions, to put more clinics on the corners? Have greater access to them? Is that the best way to do it?
