OK Biologists of the Swill, tell me how a full sized frog just magically appears in our little patio pond after it has been dry/off for years and years??
We have this little concrete pond that used to have a small waterfall above it, but it had been leaking for years and I finally got around to rebuilding it (shrank it a lot and recovered with a liner and river-rock) a couple weeks ago. There has always been a little pool of muddy water down in the dead bottom of the pond, but we've never had a frog since about 10 years ago.
So how did he get there? Do eggs lay dormant? Did a tadpole drop out of a birds ass? Did he hop all the way up from the neighbor's pond 1/2 mile away?
Edit-don't look for a frog in the pic, this is just the pond

Ssshh!!! That's the entrance to his bug out location. He and the Mrs and little sponges all have to dive into that and then swim for their underwater lair.

So, seriously, you guys are telling me this fucker hopped over a half-mile, uphill?
I seem to be rusty on my BSC200 isn't there some way that frog eggs transport in nature? I mean there is NO water anywhere near us, hence the pond. I thought the birds would like it (they used to bathe in it) but so far, they seem to be thankless little bastards..

The birds will probably come by and take care of your frog problem really soon.Sponge Worthy wrote:So, seriously, you guys are telling me this fucker hopped over a half-mile, uphill?

You do know that frogs aren't fish, right? The can survive out of water.

First, a couple of questions:
1) Do you live in Egypt? If yes, please continue to question #2:
2) Do you now, or have you ever, own(ed) Hebrew slaves?

For quite some time? Because this was one amazing journey..do they have really good ears, or how the fook do they know to go here for water, anyway?

Maybe a sasquatch put him there, and that's why he's invisible to the eye, but can be heard at night? I watch Finding Bigfoot and it's the same type of deal.

How do birds know which way is north and south while migrating? How do Sasquatches stay hidden? Magnets, how do they work? Miracles. That's how.

Man, are you stupid. The frog obviously tortured the mosquitos he caught before eating them.
Frog: Where were you born? Tell me where the water is and I'll finish you quick. I promise you won't have to find out what your left proboscis tastes like.

Alright, this is starting to piss me off. I can't find this little bastard to save my life. And he's tormenting me..I go over right after I hear a Braap! and he stops. I look all around the pond and can't find him. He's silent.
I turn around after giving up and he Braaps again..

Dat frog is trolling you bro.
Seriously though, with just a little moisture at night a frog can cover a lot more than half a mile.

Go to Soldan's and buy a bag of crickets. Empty the bag all around the perimeter of the pond. Crack a beer, sit back, and wait for the killing festival to begin.
If nothing happens, that's okay, too. The noise from all of those crickets will drown out the frog, and you will have enjoyed a beer.
