I really like my pets.....

But do you feel like punching people in the face that call them "fur babies"?

The raised level of status that people have for pets is getting out of control. Bringing them to stores, thunder shirts for storms and fireworks. I've never heard anyone call their pets fur babies. Punching anyone in the face that says that seems to be an appropriate response though.

I like our cats (especially one in particular) more than I like most people.

However, yeah, "fur babies" makes me wanna punch something.

Ha, almost. I came across that early yesterday evening while out on my bike, maybe 3/4 of a mile from home. It wasn't looking too good so i went back this morning but it was gone. It was ginormous, bigger than a football.

I don’t call my dog my fur baby, but don’t care/get upset when I hear a woman call their pet one. Ive never heard or read of a guy doing it.
However, what would make me want to punch someone in the face, and probably would, is if they said to me most of the rest of what you posted. What a condescending prickish thing to say.

Was on a road up in the Leelanau and a guy flagged us down. Was off his bike so figured he had a bike issue. Turned out there was a snapper (about the size of the one in your picture) in the road he didn't want to get hit. About 5 or 6 other cars ending up stopping too and everyone got out to look. One guy went to pick it up to move it off the road but it wanted no part of that...mean and surprisingly quick. Took maybe 10 minutes but he finally got hold of it and moved it way off the road.

I've been attached to most of the pets I've owned. I guess I  draw the line when people start treating them like humans. It's ok to love them but they aren't human. For instance I have a good friend who enters her dog in "beauty" contests. Really? C'mon now...
