The Alabama AD talked to Izzo about potential candidates, and Izzo talked up Oats. Oats took over for Hurley and didn't miss a beat. Beat Arizona in the first round last year, and Hurley in the first round this year before getting hammered by TT.

He spent a decade as a head coach at Romulus. With his Michigan connections maybe don't be surprised if he steals some recruits away from Michigan programs.
