I knew Jared Lorenzen was fat for a QB but I didn't realize that a couple of years ago he weighed 560 lbs. Wow. Sad story.

That giant sucking sound you just heard was Ross Perot's last breath.

He was great for late night TV back in the early 90's. Those Dana Carvey sketches were classics.

Dana Carvey also used to do that great GHWB impersonation, wouldn't be prudent.

Really liked his common sense. May have voted for him if he didn't pull out of the '92 race.Floyd Robertson wrote:That giant sucking sound you just heard was Ross Perot's last breath.

My favorite quote of his still cracks me up, while being saddeningly truthful:
"The debt is like a crazy aunt we keep down in the basement. All the neighbors know she's there but nobody wants to talk about her."
RIP Ross Perot. You were/are a truly Great American.

When Rose was on the top step of the dugout yelling “fuck you Shakespeare “ at him I almost pissed myself. Bowie Kuhn and MLB wanted it banned.

Had a few remarkable careers. Player, CEO for Phillip Morris or one of the tobacco giants and then Broadcaster. Reached the top of all three professions and not only did well but kicked but. He had Alzheimers I believe. Another football casualty .

David Bald Eagle, Lakota Chief, Musician, Cowboy And Actor, Dies At 97
In the U.K., the headlines note the passing of a "Dances With Wolves actor."
But appearing in an Oscar-award-winning film was one of the least interesting things David William Beautiful Bald Eagle ever did.
Bald Eagle died last Friday at 97. In his long, extraordinary life, he was a champion dancer — both ballroom and Lakota styles — a touring musician, a rodeo cowboy, a tribal chief, an actor, a stunt double, a war hero.
He danced with Marilyn Monroe. He drove race cars. He parachuted into enemy gunfire at Normandy. He played professional baseball. He was a leader not just of his tribe, but of the United Native Nations. He was an advocate for Native people.

Speaking of Dances with the Wolves, my son lives over near Ovid and there's a nearby farm there with a bunch of buffalo. He's got his daughter calling them tetonka everytime they drive past it.

Fuck
Ocasek was raised in Baltimore but moved to Cleveland at the age of 16. He briefly attended college but dropped out to pursue music, and in 1965 met future Cars bassist/singer Benjamin Orr. The two formed a succession of bands and operated in Ohio and Michigan before relocating to Boston in the early 1970s.
