My daughter just said she had a nightmare about momo. The one positive is that she also said she doesn't want to watch YouTube anymore.
The nightmare was putting a coat over her brothers head.

It got 3-4 minutes on the evening news (Channel 8) in GR last night.

Felt like a "Wag the dog" story made for Sweeps Week.

I got the feeling the kids who would listen to MoMo have parents who would pay off the IRS with Apple Gift cards after a phone call.

kids sometimes say and do some scary shit without even meaning to. I remember back a few years ago, playing hide and seek with my then 3 year old. started out counting in the basement but clearly heard him head up the stairs.  so, counting done i start to the stairs. turn the corner to head up.....and exactly half way up the stairs, he's sitting there motionless, like a statue with a blanket over him. not moving a fucking muscle. even when i'm standing there at the bottom of stairs sayin, "ok, i see you bud, you're caught. ok, bud. let's go, your turn. buddy? you all right? I know yer under the blanket, come on down."  i swear, slowing walking up to him, sitting there motionless, to pull that blanket off him was one of the freakiest things....I'm like, jesus, this is gonna be just like a scary movie where there's some little japanese zombie girl under this blanket isn't there....

I'm sure it wasn't a Japanese kid. Goodbar was probably smoking the devil's lettuce again.

I'm shocked no one has made the connection to why there was mass suicide in Bird Box. I mean, one look at momo...

yes. but she has been so much more behaved than my kid was that it has actually turned out pretty ok.
