We've had, and will continue to have, some outer bands pass through, but they've been nothing to speak of.

I figure we've gotten about an inch of rain, as my pool seemed to be about an inch higher last night. One more inch and I'm good for a few weeks.

That might have been the safest place for his family. Not sure what they have in the way of shelters in general there, but even those wouldn't be able to avoid significant storm surge.
