It's more about principle than anything. Had Izzo stayed on that board, it would've validated their corruption and inconsistencies with situations such as this. If Izzo has your back, that's good enough for me.

Crap like this just damages the sport. I only follow MSU, very difficult for me to take the sport seriously outside of MSU. Other teams are allowed to cheat, get favorable rulings from the NCAA, or have the NCAA Look the other way during grade fraud scandals or payment scandals. Also, don't even get me started when a team that draws ratings jumps another team in bowls or favorable seeding by some committee. You want me to watch? Make a rule book that applies to all schools otherwise this stuff just comes across as WWE.

I get the joke Nordic but the National Association of Basketball Coaches was important to Izzo. Jud also sat on that board and Izzo said today he felt he could make a difference in college basketball by sitting on the board. It's why he did it for 18 years.

He knows he just can't come out and say fuck the NCAA. Although I think he came close today. So quitting was his way to make a statement.
