We've all heard about how MSU brought Bubba, George Webster, and others to East Lansing because the big schools in their part of the country wouldn't allow black players.

But I had never heard about Dick Lord, who came to MSU to play hockey (he even captained the team), because McGill University in Montreal would not allow him due to the color of his skin.

Another story about TRUE MSU culture.
