2016/17 Spartan hockey thread

I hate multi-year meta threads, so here is the hockey thread for this season.
(if there is already another one the use it - IDGAF, sorry #notsorry)

Sunday 4pm Green & White game at Munn - free for all

Season opens Oct 14/15 at Lake State
then UofDenver comes to East Lansing for Oct 21 & 22

Would be nice to win something this year, like the last JLI @ JLA, the B1G or the B1G tournament.

Anyway, seems like MSU is trying, albeit the most minimalist way possible to entice people to games. I don't understand why they don't let students in for free or super cheap. A lot of empty seats here and they think tshirt giveaways are going to solve things.....

I was fkn with you...you sounded like it was an afterthought...I was at State...94-98...only tickets were standing room during the sellout streak...We would go to Munn before going out...almost always a WIN...Great times...should have won the title in 97! Or the majority of 1990-2000.

I remember those days as a kid being lost in the crowds of people during intermission, then not really having a seat so I'd stand by the aisle entrance till an usher came over... they had like 15 ushers on staff ffs. Anson Carter, Chad Alban, Mike York, Mike Watt... shit Tony Tuzzolino lmao

We were a #5 seed in our regional in 1997 so you may be thinking 1998, #1 seed, best record in the country, first-round bye and then Ohio State trips us in freaking OT at Yost. That was arguably the best team Mason ever had...York, Horcoff, Adams, Weaver, Alban, etc. Should've been a second banner for the Mason era. That game still pisses me off today. Back when we had standards for the program.....

Went to the outdoor hockey game at The Outhouse with Tuzzolino and a couple of his friends. My buddy's next door neighbor was a former hockey player and he and Tony and some of their buddies joined us. Some dumb Walmart trash tried to start shit with us in the stadium. Tony was ready to go, I recall having to hold him back. Don't think that would have ended well for the Wal marters.

I thought you said you were at school 94-98? I was 95-00. I would have assumed by meeting Tony he was roughly our age?
