Will Tom Izzo Adapt His Coaching Style?
Will Tom Izzo Adapt His Coaching Style?
Will Izzo coach the same way? Even Coach K who was probably as a big a shouter as anyone toned it down once he started landing the nations best recruits. I can't see the Aaron Henry approach that we all saw a year ago or so flying with some of these top recruits.

What worked for Henry doesn't work for everybody. TI has always known & practiced that approach to a degree. But if Bates loafs it down the court getting back on D he's gonna get red-faced TI for sure.
I tend to agree with this, however same can be said about Coach K and there's clear evidence he adapted to today's top recruit. All recruits knew he was a screamer and he changed.

I don't know, I actually think Tom Izzo could coach in the NBA and I think he'd adapt and do a good job. Call me crazy but I think he's got it in him to change up. I'm inclined to agree with you though for the Emoni squad I think he goes the same way. I think he's willing to keep on doing what he does and this is the rare elite recruit that is signing up for it and knows what he's getting into.

I hear you, but I think there's a separation between these five stars and the type of top tier recruits that Kentucky and Duke land. This is basketball diva territory.

He could coach in the NBA, and most likely would adapt his style a bit.
But, this ain't the NBA.

When the whole Izzo thing blew up in the media it was often pointed out that Coach K has changed up regarding the shouting. I guess in the old days he used to just be in the locker room with his team lighting into them.
