Poll: Do you believe there will be shots fired at one of our capitols between now and January 21st?

Pretty simple question. Yes or no. Do you guys feel somewhere Y'all Quaida, Vanilla Isis or the American Taliban will, somewhere in our country, fire shots at a state capitol or our federal capitol?

I'll go with 'yes'.

the republicans beat a police officer to death with an American flag last week.. I suspect that was more exhilarating to them than shooting someone.. but shooting is a lot more efficient.

I just think that a majority of these nuts were in it for the selfies and the likes on their pages, and even when they say that they’re willing to die for the cause they aren’t really. Now that they’ve seen there are consequences for their actions, while some diehards will show up it will hold back a lot of the more “in it for the likes” folks which will temper some of the mob mentality. It’s a lot harder to rush the capitol when there are 10 of you.

I definitely can see how I could be wrong but I think those that wanted to go assassinate a bunch of politicians had their brief window and it’s slammed shut now.

I think a federal building will probably be blown up. Or something similar.

Because some of these fucks are deadly serious.

I wonder if any of these fine folks will ever wake up to the fact that all they did was stroke Trump's ego while pledging to die for him, because there's no quid pro quo for them.

I think yes.
But I don't think anyone will try anything in DC on the 20th. Only because everyone knows of the massive amount of national guard and security there.

I voted yes and am most concerned with Lansing Michigan.

My State Rep is Sara Cambensy, who happens to be a personal friend of mine. She’s more concerned of the whack job State Rep Beau LaFave than anyone else.

Should also be concerned with Rep Mike Maddock whose wife (future MI GOP Co-Chair organized for two busloads of folks to the DC rally ready to take their government back.

All those folks went to DC but none of them were violent.

A friends dad was a GRPD detective told us a bar in GR that had more than its share of Saturday night shootings and stabbings in the 60's and early 70's had to have the biggest restroom in the state. Every time he investigated a crime everyone was in the bathroom.

Seems to be the story for the protestors.

Yeah, staring at a prison sentence of 20+ years is not very appealing to them once they realized people were going to be plastering their faces all over the internet and the FBI was going to be banging on their front doors with an arrest warrant.

There are digital billboards up and down I 75 and 696 in metro Detroit about identifying rioters at the Capitol with a FBI tip hotline.

MI is a good spot for those, since there were two dozen busloads from MI that went to DC for the hootenanny.

Did any of you see the guy interviewed who was in front of the Michigan capitol with a gun. He was young, maybe in his 20s, and using a fake name of some Boogaloo Boy or something, but he said he was there to protest government overreach. When asked what specifically, he complained that you need the government's permission to build a house, buy a gun, and drive a car. He also complained that the government dictates what you have to learn in school.

I think there will be smaller, but potentially more destructive, attacks months and years down the road (or at least attempted/planned attacks). These kinds of things dont just go away. The police/Feds are severely restricted on their ability to go after domestic terrorist groups, and they'll have people in the government (and/or with close ties to the government) helping them, tipping them off, obstructing authorities, etc. We need to get some laws changed so that domestic terrorists can be hunted down the same way international terrorists are.

But in that case, yeah, I'm with you. The show of force should deter any huge gatherings. Maybe some lone wolf does a suicide mission. That likely wouldn't get near anyone important, but could be tragic for some of the police/NG. I have no idea how well guarded some of the state Capitols are other than Michigan's, Georgia's and a few others highlighted on TV.
