nah. The real suspense is will Cavendish win another stage or two this Tour to tie/pass Eddy Merckx on career stage wins.

Pogacar already has this tour wrapped up, barring something insane.

The boys climb Mont Ventoux tomorrow.. twice.

as I mentioned, two climbs up Ventoux today. Not a traditional Alps/Pyrenees-esque climb. The summit looks like the moon.. very little vegetation. Also, the boys will hit 50+ mph on the descents. Luckily, it's gonna be dry today, but still pretty dangerous.



Look out for Alaphilippe today.

good likelihood of a sprint finish today. It may be Cav's last chance to tie Merckx's record before rolling onto the Champs-Elysses (provided he gets through the mountains under the cutoff time next week).

currently a breakaway about 3 minutes ahead of the peloton (which includes the green jersey) - still 71 miles to go today, but they don't want to give the break too much time. I suspect the boys from Quickstep know this.

he was in such a bad position more than once in the last 500 meters. I was like "there's no way... wait.. oh man, he's boxed in.. umm. wait. yeah, now way he can get it.. wait.. WAIT.. there he goes!"...

and what about that lead out by Quick Step? Man.. they deserve a Rolex or something at the end of this Tour. I hope he can get through the mountains and make it to the cobblestones of the Champs E'lysses in 9 days.

My dog uses her paw to gently tap me awake. If I don’t respond quick enough, the tap becomes a shove, and it doesn’t stop until I acknowledge her.

as predicted about 10 days or so ago, Pogacar has the maillot jaune wrapped up. Cav got through the Pyrenees, so we'll see if he can win today's stage (likely a sprint finish, barring a breakaway that holds off the peloton) or Sunday in Paris.
