Never really understand why they set such specific targets like that. I know, they’ll just pivot to September when nothing happens that day…. But why not just be vague and say like “it’s gonna happen in the fall” and use the fall to transition your language to winter.

I'd guess that it coincides very closely with some important date for his grifting efforts (whether a federal date, an internal date for Trump's committee, or when his loans to foreign governments are due).

I think you're giving them way too much credit relative to their intellect and mental capacity.
