Darkhorse might be fair at this point. Frontrunner, not so much. Put up another 200ish against YSU (certainly possible, they suck) and 100+ against Miami (much taller order) & we'll talk.

Lorenzo White had 2k yards rushing in 1985 & only got 4th (Bo Jackson, Chuck Long, Robbie Bosco). Admittedly, there was a bias toward seniors in those days & Lorenzo was only a sophomore, but still. KW3 will need to have a season head & shoulders above everyone else who plays for "contenders".

And 1 piece from Spartan Avenue isn't in the same area code as some of the SCum nob slobbing that's come out of the Detroit rags over the years for the likes of Tate Forcier et al.

Given Walker's numbers it's shameful. 1,636 yards, 6.2 per carry, 18 touchdowns, a couple dozen 20+ yards runs, I hope he uses it as motivation to go for 200 and 5 against Pitt.

Forever a chip on the shoulder and this is another reason why.
