Miami Roll Call
If there is already a similar thread, I apologize.
Who is coming down to the game?
Are we meeting up anywhere?
I'm staying at the Hard Rock hotel this Wednesday and Thursday night.
I'm taking Thursday off and can take off Friday if anyone wants to get drinks or anything.
Is there a tailgate on Saturday?

I'm going to the game, of course (along with my wife and daughter). I don't know about tailgating. If people are meeting up I would try to swing by, but I'm just going to play it by ear.
If anyone is getting together Friday or after the game Saturday, I might be up for it, as well.

I’m going down Thursday night. But damn you go to someplace you don’t usually go to and people who live within 50 miles all ask to see you. So Thursday and Friday people are coming to margaritaville in Hollywood. I feel obligated. How hard to grab a taxi to the game Saturday? Then back after?

I'd recommend Uber or miRide (like Uber, but specific to South Florida & no surge pricing).

I'm thinking of getting there around 9am. I know we'll have drinks. Miami, do you want to take my wife with you when you head there? She is working Friday night and wants me to get her an Uber.
There's going to be 8 of us together, 5 Miami fans, 1 OSU fan and my wife and I.
Heat - I might take you up on a parking pass, unless we end up parking in the Dolphin practice facility, since one of the guys going works for the Dolphins. He's trying to get parking passes for us though.

I've got 5. Black North lot. Suite holder parking. Really... take 1. Or more.

I’ll take one, Heat. I won’t be anywhere near Florida for the game, but it’s free, so…

I hadn't seen this the other day, but if you still have any, I'd be happy to take one. Not a big deal if not, though.

You can't fool us, we know that you love the extreme heat, sand, and something else (old people?), and would never miss a chance to come down.

I'm going to guess 50,000. Miami usually gets about 50-55K. While there will be more Spartans than Miami gets for most games with out of state opponents, I think Miami fan attendance will be down. There isn't a bandwagon for Miami this year, MSU isn't a high profile opponent, and the noon start will keep some Miami fans away.

What's your game plan Duffy? You should catch a last minute flight and join up with the crew.

I had plans to go but reconsidered. I'm fully confident that between Wags and Jingles things will turn out fine.

Jesus mary mother fo god, This is a different type of "heat' than Michigan hot and humid. I'm gong to seat through my bones today and tomorrow. I don't see how visititig teams can take this. I understand that Tucker turned the heat up in the Duff during practice this week, but holy mother of god, it's just different. Has to take a month to get acclimated to this shit. I thought I'd come down to the pool and catch up on paper workon the computer today. My laptop feels like it's been in an oven, i've had it out for 10 minutes. Advantage miami no doubt. Our two's and three's better have been in film room this week, we'll need a ton of subs.

It's the dew point. 90 degrees and 70% humidity in Michigan (dew point usually not higher than the 60s) is a lot different than 90 degrees and 70% humidity in Florida (dew point in the 70s).
The other challenge is that MSU's sideline will be in the sun all game, and Miami's will be in the shade all game. I don't know if we can have tents or at least umbrellas for the guys that come off the field, but that would help a little.
An overcast day would be helpful.

If I was coach, I’d make that examination tent a lot bigger, or put three or four on the sideline, enough to fit at least 11 players at a time, preferably more. It would be justified by saying you need the extra space so players can hydrate intravenously.
