If, by "not a HR hitter", he means that Walker doesn't play baseball, that's a damn fine observation. Otherwise it's moronic.

I don’t know I’m not enough of a football bro to be breaking down tape like all that. But, they have 2 first round picks again next year in a thicker, creamier quarterback draft. Even if they don’t suck enough to be top 5 again, a trade up for someone is maybe possible. If you take one not as good now in the second round, you won’t seriously entertain abandoning that guy in just a year where they didn’t play at all.
Not a QB this year. QB next year.
I like that plan.

Pick makes sense if they're concerned Carson doesn't play.

Travis, I thank you for your interest in my life's work. After compiling the projected immediate and long-term impacts of every selection and assigning numeric values to each player with my patented ETWEDITL (everything they will ever do in their lifetimes) analysis, I'm ready to release my draft grades. These are final grades, as nobody drafted after the third round has ever done anything of note in the NFL.

I'm beginning to see why the NFL is so poor at talent evaluation.

Especially since they got all three number one picks back and they need a running back, too bad his dad didn't play for them.

Not sure how you can look at Walker's last season and say "Not a HR hitter"

His 1st run of the season was literally an 80 something yard touchdown

He led NCAA football with yards after contact and made the number 2 overall pick in the draft look mediocre.

I'm excited to see what he does this year, Walker I mean. I may even pay attention to the NFL for the first time in 45 years.

You won't be sorry. The Houston Oilers and St. Louis Cardinals are the favorites, but by the time Al Hirt polishes his trumpet for the Super Bowl halftime show, anything can happen.

I think Hirt is probably too edgy for a TeeVee audience, why not Doc Seversen?

Al Hirt won’t do it anymore, bruh. He’s just not cool. But I’m staying in my seat at halftime to catch this fresh new sound from Up With People.

Technically Doc was a trumpeter's trumpeter, but due to his Tonight Show gig wasn't really thought of that way by the general public. There are lots of you-tubes of him with trumpeter comments about his virtuosity.

Re: THE NFL Draft 2022 thread
One veteran scout also told me second-round tailback Ken Walker III was a top-20 overall player in the draft. Walker fell to Day 2 because, well, he's a running back.
"If Rashaad Penny can continue what he did late in the year, and now they have Walker, you know, with that quarterback situation, what's going to happen," an NFC coordinator said. "Those guys are going to get the ball a ton."
