With a new O-line and unknow running backs unless the defensive backfield ups its game I would be very happy with 8 wins.

Having OSU - Wisconsin - Bye - Michigan in a row is a tough 4 weeks.

The falcon box is new this year, there is a thread about it on TOB. There are also falcon boxes with web cams at the BWL in Lansing and at Wayne State.

I have been checking in before they laid the first egg. There were four eggs, one did not hatch (not uncommon). The chicks are about three weeks old and will remain in the box for about three to four more weeks until they fledge. After that you won't see much of them. Falcons almost exclusively eat other birds and I find it interesting to go back in the feed to see what types of birds the parents caught that day.

A neighbor who works on campus sent me the link when the eggs were a few days old. Been crazy watching this process. It’s been a freaking bloodbath for nearby wildlife since the hatchlings first appeared. Mom and dad bringing back whole birds and tearing them apart to feed the babies. Nature is a violent bitch.

I believe SI's analysis staff are usually kids applying to the school they are covering, so really, it's not a bad article for a high school kid, I guess.

Most people don't realize how difficult that would be to do. Here's what makes that so tough: in the final game, with MSU up 18-0 on nine safeties and the opposing offense about to step on the field one more time, you just know the opposing coach is going to stop his guys and say, "Hey, watch out for the safety."

Reed gets bonus points for how vital he is to the Spartans on special teams. He averaged 21.6 yards per punt return with a pair of touchdowns on the 11 instances opponents were foolish enough to punt to him last year. (Cough, Nebraska.)

But this is more about what he can do with the ball in his hands as a wideout. Reed was 2nd in the B1G last year with an average of 17.4 yards per catch, and 4th with 10 touchdowns. His connection with quarterback Payton Thorne goes back to high school, and the duo will continue the magic for Michigan State this year.
