Trump would threaten litigation against himself if he could figure out a way to make money off of it.

Durham was considered to be pretty much a straight shooter with good legal chops and this was the one case he thought he could win.

Pretty much everything Trump advocates for/stands for is smoke and mirrors. To this day I find it remarkable that he fooled and continues to fool so many people. It's almost like they just like what he says and do little to no critical thinking or follow up to make sure what he says is true.

It's a big failure of our education system in this country. Need to figure out how to instill critical thinking above all else. You don't need to be extraordinarily gifted/smart, you don't need to have and retain a lot of knowledge, but you do need to recognize manipulation, recognize when things don't smell right and know how to locate accurate information.

Durham probe did what it was supposed to do - which was ironically exactly what he is accusing this sussman of doing.  Playing the media like a fiddle to give the impression of impropriety, conspiracy.  He accused sussman of trying to manufacture news of an investigation before the election, but that's all Durham is, manufactured news of an investigation.  Whether or not there is any merit, people see investigation and believe what they want to believe,.  And in the case of Trump acolytes, they believe whatever Trump tells them.  The results don't really matter after they've given legitimacy to trumps words by the mere fact of an investigation existing.  It's "accuse your opposition that which you are guilty of" taken to the absurd extreme.

It's garbage manipulation like this that tells me I'm on the right side of history. Trump must resort to such easily identifiable manipulation tactics because his actual positions have little merit, don't stand on their own. No better proof of validation of my views then that. Unfortunately this stuff works against a remarkably large segment of the population. He's nothing more than a con man, no better than the folks leading cults, pyramid schemes, MLM, and any commercial scams. The people vulnerable to those things are the same people vulnerable to trump's siren song.

Also, it's no secret why Republicans have spent decades demonizing and defunding education. They benefit when the electorate is uniformed/misinformed, and unable/unwilling/too lazy to participate in critical thinking.

(I suspect you know that already, though).

I hope these means we can get back to the Benghazi investigation.
