So there was a law you may remember being passed that said all the JFK files needed to be released… like a while ago. They still haven’t been. The more it’s slow walked the more suspicious the whole thing gets. I don’t know if they’re trying to protect someone who’s still alive or what but it’s damn probable we just don’t know the extent of the FBIs involvement and knowledge, or possibly their incompetence. Still hard to imagine the agency was involved directly in the assassination, but they’re still hiding something.

I know, a notoriously biased podcast, but good info.

The leftist LHO was the lone assassin and there was no involvement of the FBI or CIA. Any sane person who studied the evidence would come to that conclusion.

However the files likely contain peripheral information about FBI/CIA matters regarding Cuba and the USSR that they still want out of the public eye.

The most interesting thing to me was the suggestion that the FBI, which claimed to the Warren commission that they had no prior knowledge of LHO, may have been lying and may have, in fact been using him at some level to infiltrate a pro Cuba organization. Wild stuff.

It really isn't a surprise that they would have files on him since he went and lived in the USSR & then contacted Cuba, but the CIA & FBI have files on lots of people, having a file on him is meaningless.
