Spartan Stadium Falcon Cam

Mom just checked in and I can't be sure but I think she did a head count then flew back out.

Then came back running closer to the nest.

I honestly can’t remember if any of the fledglings returned to the box after leaving it. I know mom & dad will teach it to fly and hunt, but don’t have any specific memory of any young ones returning once they left for the first time last year.

Yeah, I do remember they hung around the nest. I recall catching occasional glimpses of them wandering nearby on the roof. I just don’t specifically remember if they ever went inside to rest. I don’t think they did, so it’s probably down to three. It was weird when it got down to one last year.

Another just went overboard

Not surprised. You could tell that one wanted out, too.

The last two are facing the back screaming “No! I don’t wanna go!”

The 2nd looked like it jumped down on the duct that's holding up the nest before down to the roof.

I nominate you, Bob, and duffy to go to the stadium and look for things flying around there.

I’ll wander over there with the pooch tomorrow if I have time. I do think #2 did a parkour move off that metal arm before landing.

Camera operator clearly dropped the ball today. Too bad you couldn't get me control of it like I asked.

All you have to do is become the Ishbia of the Club and they’ll probably let you perch on top of the box.

Snowflake and #3 are looking at things outside intently right now.

The only perch I want is lightly pan fired.

Saw a shadow of mom flying in at the back side of the nest. Hard to get a still pic.

Probably happened but haven't seen them get fed today.

I never saw it, but could have easily missed it. The remaining two are looking anxiously for mom or dad, so maybe they didn't get fed.

That would be rough, especially considering today's heat.  

Rewound and got a pic of #2 going out.

1 & 2 out on the roof/elsewhere.  3 down for the night in the nest.

Snowflake, stoically sleeping on his feet in the bask of Spartan Stadium lights.

This was around 6:55AM, minutes later it jumped down. And then there was one.

But mom was just perched outside and you can see her feeding Pantry's snowball.

Mom feeding "snowflake" from outside the box - I wonder if she is trying to encourage him to leave as well.

FWIW, I did see them get fed at least twice yesterday.  The feeding has been much quicker lately and they were often just leaving it in the box. I assume to try to teach them to pick it apart themselves.

I can't believe they haven't zoomed the camera out yet.

Are you allowed to fly drones on campus?

Finally zoomed the camera out about an hour ago.

It looked that way to me too.

Around 6:35 tonight mom was feeding floofy and one of the other chicks entered the lower left.

Shortly before noon today the floofster was pacing around and then noticed mom's tail feather hanging over the edge of the nest's roof. So it starts squawking at mom. The tail feathers disappear and about 10 minutes later mom come back and the floofster rips lunch out of mom's beak.

Snowflake is becoming less snowy, and pretty huge. Must be a female

Twice in about the last 20 minutes I've seen a human up there, and each time he comes in the frame he gets buzzed

That was my thought from a few days ago - I looked it up, and their Facebook site says when they were banded that the youngest (who they named Pickles) is a male.

Mom is sitting up on the lights keeping an eye on that area.
