The problem is doors. We have too many doors in this country. DOOR CONTROL NOW!

Sure, elimination of all the doors, so people cannot get in or out of any room they are in, eliminating all movement of everyone anywhere, so they cannot go to gun shops and buy guns, or if they buy guns via mail order they cannot be delivered, will solve the problem of guns, because without doors there can be no guns. /s
Of course it is simpler, and more feasible, to eliminate the guns.

We must repeal parts of the ADA to protect children! I have already sent 3 emails to my representatives about our country’s lax door policy. I advise you do the same.

Way more windows than doors. Just sayin. It’s a slippery slope. First you’ll force freedom loving Americans to lock all side door and then you’ll come after our windows. Know why we won WWII? Cause Japan was afraid of all of our windows. They knew they couldn’t sneak up on us. Germany banned windows then poof hitler is running that place.

Satire isn't meant to be funny, it is the opposite as it points out how ludicrous certain ideas are.

It’s silly because there was a video released last night and the door was locked. Or at least she shot through the door to get in

We could talk about committing to better mental health services, we could talk about guns, we could talk about America’s hyper-individualism that is detrimental to our sense of empathy and trust, but instead we have a whole lot of people who want to talk about everything but the problem and its root causes. They will actually talk about fucking doors like doors are the problem rather than talk about the actual problem.

Or just tax the fuck out of bullets, which I believe are currently tax exempt. Say $10 per bullet. Might solve the budget crisis too. Might even save Social Security.
2nd Amendment (very liberally interpreted IMHO) says right to bear arms. Doesn't say shit about right to bear bullets.

A former FBI agent who got soooooo frustrated with the Bureau she resigned (after 11 years and fully vested) decided to become another blonde on FoxNews maybe doubling or tripling her FBI salary with fewer hours far less dangerous potential condition.
The frightening thing about FoxNews is they have people like this willing to say whatever they talk about in production meetings on air sounding very serious.
The well armed, gun tottin’ FoxNews audience eats it up.
I still work with architectural and engineering firms that do design work for many public schools in MI. They have redesigned and taken on major remodel jobs over a decade ago specifically to beef up security in case of armed intruders.
All the schools in some of the state’s largest districts have built double door systems creating vestibules where a second set of doors that are locked and only opened by staff after CTV sees the person.
Interior doors have all been replaced with 6”w x 18” to 20” high thick glass reinforced with wire.
School design isn’t the issue. We are a decade past Sandy Hook. The crazies armed to the teeth are still murdering children and staff in schools and almost unanimously GOP politicians will do nothing.
In the case of Congressman Steve Scalise (R) LA, he was shot by person who traveled 100’s of miles to shoot at members of Congress and spent months recovering. Yet Scalise is as pro gun rights as he was before.

There's currently an 11% excise tax on firearms and bullets plus sales tax. That doesn't seem to slow anyone down from purchasing. The price of bullets has probably tripled or quadrupled over the past few years and people still buy anything they can get their hands on.
Microstamping could help. It might slow people down knowing their name is on every bullet they fire.

Microstamping is a good idea in general, but I don't feel like it would have much effect on mass shootings. Most of those psychos seem to have a manifesto and a desire for infamy.

Good to know, but additional reading shows:
1. That excise tax, unlike cigarettes & gas, hasn't changed since it was instituted in 1919. Let's double or triple it.
2. Additional taxes on ammo are measured in pennies, not dollars. So there's plenty of room for $10/bullet.

Hundreds of billions of dollars (problem into the trillions) to "harden" schools, increase security everywhere, and militarize our police forces. That's one expensive fucking amendment.

Wasn't the latest school private? People would blow their tops if they had to pay for hardening those schools.

I'm so slow much of the time, you mean the 2nd. It really sucks that it didn't begin to take on its current meaning until the 1970's. Almost 200 years of sanity and then due to the fact that it helped elect Republicans, insanity.
