Re: tOfficial Tour De France Thread
I misread yesterday's results thought there was a lot more space between the top two. That's what happens when you miss the finish

Pogacar goes with 16K to go and Vingegaard can't respond!
See if Tadej can hold this. Long ways to go. Wow.

Advantage being in second and it worked against Pogacar

Slight climb in the last 350 meters. I could see Tadej winning the stage but no way he takes yellow at this point.
Tadej has to get the time bonus.
Cancel Tadej taking the stage. Rodriguez came out of nowhere

Some of these roads look like they'd be a tough drive in a car let alone on a bike with people surrounding you on both sides

What an awesome battle today. That moto was wayyyyyyy to close. That said I don’t it would of mattered at the end of the day. Vindegaard was on his wheel, caught him earlier and beat him at the top sprint. That move was going nowhere.
Jumbo changed up today and pushed tempo. Pogacar looked more stressed than yesterday.

MVP of Stage 14. Wout getting dropped with 15kto go, then riding up to push the UEA rider off the front (a little elbow nudge) with 13k to go.
Sepp was on his radio right after the UEA guy went to the front. I’m guessing he was irritated that the UEA guy tried to set tempo and called Wout back up. Wout reached into his bag of courage and went over the boards like Joey Kocur to reestablish control.
Absolutely epic.

I suspect there won't be any GC changes today, or very little. It's a day for the breakaway and UAE will cover Jumbo and Jumbo will cover UAE.
I do wonder if Pogacar could get 10 seconds (or more) on Vingegaard Tuesday in the TT? We'll see. Still lots of racing to go. I need Wout to win a stage at some point.
Heading out for a ride now.. gonna be back for the last 50-60K.

Idiot spectator takes down Sepp Kuss and a few other cyclists. They seem okay but it's always a tenuous situation.

Powless faded some but regained his position. Back in the KOM jersey for now. Would be amazing to see an American riding into Paris next week in the polka dots.
Still a lot of climbing left.

Good stage. Rest day with a TT on Tuesday.
Who, among the GC guys, have the upperhand on the TT? It's relatively short (22k or so), but fairly undulating.

Re: tOfficial Tour De France Thread
decent (short) climb at the end of today's TT, though the course itself is so short, I can't imagine anyone GC-wise (Vingegaard/Pogacar) gaining more than 6-10 seconds.
Wednesday and Saturday are epic stages, esp. Wednesday. The TT is always the 'race of truth' but I think with it being so short, it's gonna be a bit of a letdown for anyone hoping for some GC shake up. I don't remember the last time that there was a) only one TT in the Tour and b) that the one TT in the Tour was so short They're almost always 40-45K.

Inflatable barriers at the one hairpin turn so a cyclist doesn't launch himself off the Alps.
