Following along with this trial is hilarious. This Donald Trump lawyer Necheles cross examining Daniels is like how I would expect a fake TV lawyer would be cross examining a murderer in a crime TV show. She keeps making false suggestions and even poor little porn star stormy is catching her and making her look like an idiot.

Nope, the only reason it's relevant at all is as a massive distraction for the defense and to kind of sort of illustrate why keeping this quiet was a campaign contribution. that part about it being a campaign contribution is very important but it's always been extremely clear that it was so the testimony isn't actually worth that much.  This will come down to documenting that Trump knew what was happening fully and that cohen wasn't actually going rogue behind trumps back in a misguided and hidden attempt to please "the boss"

the linchpin is cohen, will the defense succeed in distancing trump enough from cohen or will the prosecution have extremely strong evidence that trump was actively working with and directing cohen on the matter?

I disagree that they e established the connection strong enough.  It's witness testimony that that is usually the case but that is not strong enough, IMO, to convict a former president.  I almost think there has to be more tapes for this to work.
