Elections in Netherlands
I am not sure how much reporting is happening over there, but there was a big election yesterday in the Netherlands. There is a saying that says as the Netherlands votes, so too will the rest of Europe. Given that, things aren't looking good as Geert Wilders seems to be in line to become the PM. He is an Islamophobe who has previously talked about banning the Koran and closing mosques. He looks like a Bond villain to boot. With 15 or so parties earning seats, he will need to build a coalition, but most parties have not refused to govern with him (as has happened in the past).
Germany has their election scheduled for October 2025 and the way the current government is working, it is expected the right-wing AFD will have large gains. France doesn't hold their elections until 2027, so maybe the tide will tilt the other way by then.
