Texas Gov. Abbot signs legislation to give local cops the authority to arrest illegal immigrants, and put them in front of a judge who will have the authority to tell them to leave the country or face felony charges.

Fear not, fellow citizen! don't fret, no need to worry. This isn't a "round them all up and ship them back to mexico" law and will be used in only narrow circumstances in some border areas. This is definitely not sanctioned racial profiling that will be used to set up dragnets to arrest immigrants statewide. Totally constitutional and we can definitely trust these people. You have nothing to worry about if you aren't here illegally and have done nothing wrong.

Did a quick read of the body of the Constitution last night and there is nothing in words that says a State cannot protect its border with a foreign nation, just that it must honor the laws of the other states. Of course, when this was written the US didn't have border guards.

The same people that passed this will let a woman die a painful death just because she is carrying a fetus in her body. I'm sure it will turn out well.
