The latest action will cancel $7.4 billion dollars in debt for 277,000 people across the country.

Of those receiving discharges, nearly 207,000 borrowers are enrolled in the SAVE plan, 65,000 people are in income-driven repayment plans and 4,600 are through fixes to Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
Those who are approved for the loan cancellations will start receiving emails on Friday.

Why it matters: While key tax breaks and support programs lift a significant percentage of children, parents and older Americans out of poverty, they barely move the needle on this group, finds a striking series of papers from the Hamilton Project at Brookings released Wednesday.

State of play: One out of every two people in the U.S. who live in deep poverty — 50% below the poverty line — is a member of this population.

More than 70% of the homeless population falls into this group, which totals about 14 million adults aged 18-64, says Robert Greenstein, the founder of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and author of one of the papers.

You’re right.  Foreigners have more rights, and often times receive more benefits than citizens in America.  Somewhere along the line America decided political correctness was more important than caring for its own people.

The housing price and availability problem is the direct result of the Reagan Tax Cuts, followed by the GW Bush Tax Cuts, followed by the Trump Tax Cuts.

Joe Biden is the first President since Eisenhower, to "get it" as to what makes the economy work for the middle class, and the first President since FDR to do something significant (LBJ's Medicare/Medicaid & Obama's Obamacare were helpful but not focused at the heart of the problem) about it.
