Progressive (liberal/leftist/Democrat) city government forced to retreat on virtue signaling

Local San Francisco TV news (not sure if that is MSM or not) report on the unintended consequences of the city government not doing business with places it feels do not have the correct social policies on things like LGBTQ+ and abortion.   Eventually they could only do business with or travel to 20 states.   Worth a watch but might be TL;DR

Sort of surprised this wasn't legally challenged under the Commerce Clause of the US Constitution.
Not sure what the point of the report is, having requirements which define some level to be complied with often means that fly by night outfits with cheep prices are not sourced.
You are correct, not going to watch all of this, so will ask, did this in depth reporting cover any of the thousands of times these requirements made no difference in pricing, or was it just completely slanted to one side?
