That's one of the major problems with the Ds... they don't get it. Rs get it. That's why every commercial they put on TV are filled with half truths (at best) and outright lies. Because they know america is a stupid country and a good chunk will react to their scare tactics or outrageous lies when a simple google would inform them otherwise.

I often say that one of the biggest problems the Democrats have is that they overestimate the intellectual curiosity and mental capacity of the average American.

Republicans/libertarians know that America is a stupid country. They run a guy who has been convicted of 34 felonies while making fighting crime the centerpiece of their campaign. And then tell me that I'm insulting them when I call America "stupid".

I used to enjoy Headline News back in the day when it was actually news, and you could quickly catch up with what is going on any time of day. Now that channel is nothing but crime stories.
