Here’s a pretty decent article of demographic breakdowns.

Trump picked up a small but significant share of Black and Hispanic voters, and made narrow gains with men and women. As Trump chipped away at parts of the Democratic coalition, Vice President Kamala Harris wasn’t able to make enough of her own gains. Trump succeeded in locking down his traditionally older, white base of voters, and he slightly expanded his margins with other groups into a winning coalition.

There is much to be said for going full fleged populist with progressive programs.

And you guys are correct. Biden was and is too old school about governing. He and the Democratics did a ton of good stuff and then just sat there expecting people to realize they had done it. In the media rich environment that does not work. It has to be blaring out in the media 247.

To Travs point, they should have made it very clear that the reason the child tax credit wasn't renewed was the Republivans would not vote to renew it, 247, instead of letting Manchin torpedo it without a whimper.

This election the Trump campaign and its media partners FoxNews, OAN, Sinclair, Nexstar and iHeart radio with its brigade of Right wing hosts began railing about jobs and economy in January 2021.

Tied into that was jobs, opportunities and money that should be spent helping while folks (“people like us”) code was being taken by immigrants from Latin America and Africa.

Then over 12 months of constant social media like X/twitter and Facebook that immigrants are dangerous gave the 18-30 HS educated white boys a target.

Trump convinced a whole lot of folks but especially the 18-30 and 30-45 year old male & female HS educated demographic the economy stunk despite historical data saying otherwise.

Union votes are good. The Dems need to do everything in their power to ensure that there are more unionized voters. Max that shit out. Unions aren't perfect, but they're the best we've got.

I think Berine is speaking towards hearing them and actually doing the old Clinton I feel your pain. In terms of hard deliveries it's Biden. He or Harris didn't do the whole listening tour.

My only suggestion is that the next campaign hit town halls constantly in those purple districts that go back and forth between Biden and Trump.

He has an unhealthy resentment of anyone he thinks might be getting something from the government that he didn’t get. The guy went to college when tuition was twelve dollars or one mid-size hog, and he can’t stand the thought of today’s new graduates getting help with their student loans.
