Yeah....that catalog is grossly overrated.

New album is in my iTunes. I listened to a little bit of it and think it sucks. Love their work in the 80s. Definitely does not suck.

(FYI, I used to love them. "Unforgettable Fire" was the first tape I ever purchased. Wasn't a fan of the "hipster" phase... last one was good, haven't heard the Apple one... oh and they have been uber political since their debut album.)

I haven't been a U2 fan since the 80s. But I was highly impressed with their show at Spartan Stadium. They definitely do not suck. I had personally under-rated them because I was so sick of them ever since Joshua Tree was crammed down my throat. I can't hardly name anything they have done since. There was the blues album and then some Zoo thing.

I remember their concert at the silverdome and thinking it was cool and spontaneous how some fan handed Bono a portrait of MLK that he paraded around stage. Til I realized it was staged at every concert on that tour. Yawn.
