Mandel's Updated Bowl Projections
Conference championships carry much weight in determining playoff seedings
Peach Bowl: MSU vs. UCLA
If we can't play an SEC team, UCLA is a matchup I've been hoping for.

Yeah, it's better than an ACC team.
UCLA's offense looked pretty good against USC when I watched them. I like our secondary a lot better with Lippett now

So curious how he would figure the Peach Bowl would take UCLA over hometown Georgia. Does he think GaTech is going to knock them back.

The committee decides who goes where except for the Orange Bowl. One would think they wouldn't give Georgia what amounts to a home game.

I would love the Peach against UCLA. I would also be happy if we made it to the Orange Bowl and got an ACC team. As long as it's a Committee Bowl against a winnable opponent, I'll be happy.
Making one of these, and then winning one of these would be great for this program's momentum towards the ultimate goal of a national title.

Good point, but for UCLA to wind up ranked higher than Georgia, they are likely going to have to beat Oregon in the Pac 12 Title game.
If Georgia makes one of the committee games are they going to purposely avoid placing them in Atlanta.

To take it further, one would also think they wouldn't put Baylor or TCU in the Cotton Bowl or have them play each other. Since neither of them can go to the Orange Bowl, 1 goes Peach & 1 goes Fiesta. With the current rankings I see this:
Fiesta: Baylor/TCU vs. Boise State
Orange: GTech vs. tO$U
Cotton: UGA vs. UCLA
Peach: Baylor/TCU vs. Michigan State
We need to pummel Ped State and have some more losses ahead of us because we are in danger of getting jumped.

Meh, all I care about is that we win it. Regardless of opponent, winning one of those games would go a long ways in setting up for a nice recruiting class in 2016, and would help us start out high again in the preseason polls for next year.Ass Dan wrote:As long as it's not Marshall, I'm happy.
