Nearing end of career, game has seemed to pass him by. Stubbornness costing him games. His sets on offense simply don't work and executing out of timeouts are non existent. Coupled with failed recruiting, the parralels are quite similar.

MSU won 29 games last year. I'm not sure Izzo lost it sometime between March 30, 2014 and the start of this season. The stubbornness has always been there, but he did take a couple of hits on the recruiting trail that have left him with a team missing a lot of important pieces.

I do think Izzo should have called a timeout earlier when Wisconsin went on that run to cut down our nice lead, and I think he gave Schilling too many minutes (particularly in OT) when he was a liability defensively.

He did a great job with the roster, but I do think he still needs to tweak some things.
