Honestly, it's this type of of post that shows me why he's so hyper-political. Knee jerk reaction that isn't well thought out.

i don't think I'd blog. But tournament time let me know. We've been doing this 30 plus years. We take four teams from each class. These teams can be rated in the top 20. As they win their district you get certain points. Regional and on more points. You can't pick two top teams that will meet in districts cause you'll screw yourself. After all top four picks are in from each member, if you have a unique pick, one which nobody else has sent in, you get added points if they win. If all members have a team which appears in all of their top four choices for each class, that team is thrown out and an alternate is used.

You also pick three Cinderella picks in each class that can't be rated. More points are given if these teams win.

Trick is picking solid teams that will at least get to a regional final before they play each other. The first year you join you'll be slaughtered untill you figure it out. I don't do so great because I always take too many chances.

We've done this for thirty plus years. Started in a high school math teachers class.
