And a helluva lot more. Nice piece by Shawn Windsor of the Freep (yes, #bluewall).

His Vienna [Georgia] is a long way from the Cotton Bowl and all that happened there a couple of days ago.

"It's a ghost town," he said of his hometown. "And it's a hard place to dream ... a hard place to hope."

Mumphery may or may not play football for a professional team next season. The senior is working on a master's degree in communication. But no matter what happens, he knows he will always have the journey from Vienna to East Lansing to Dallas and back again, that he will always have his moment in the end zone.

"To score the winning touchdown ... I don't know what to say," he said in the postgame locker room.

If it wasn't for the emergence of Lippett we would have a lot more from Mumphery, but the kid has a lifetime of memories from his highlights. As do we all.

His touchdown in 2012 against OSU was fucking awesome. He will be missed.

Every time I see that highlight, I mutter, "You go for the ball, asshole, I'll go for the fucking goal line." Enormous play and effort from Keith. All the best to him.
