Re: tSwill night crew
I know a guy who works for a local station currently and gets his weed from a certain morning DJ. Not any of the stations thus far mentioned, but it still felt like a relevant factoid.

I miss the old format where everyone's music discovery centered around radio.
I'm the Uncle Rico of the 90's.

I wasn't old enough to drink yet in those days. I think I remember DJ Mel... she was a bitch to me (if she's the right one) when I called in to request Bush Machinehead once.
Bitch.
It was her, she was a bitch to the callers...it was her thing.
PS She also was a guest on the Jenny Jones show, the episode was about scandalous love or some bullshit. She was on there because she boned some random dude in a closet at some party and wanted to reveal to him at a later date she wanted more lol.
PPS The DJs were all awesome and fucked up at the same time. When I won the bus trip to PJ in Chicago in 98 my friend back out at the last minute so I ended up with an extra ticket....Which allowed another DJ to get on the bus and go to the show. Long story short my ticket ended up being 3rd row on the side with them when the winners were way back in the upper deck AND the DJs took me with them to get shit faced at some random shitty Irish bar when we got into Chicago. As a result I had to buy 2 shirts at the show as I lost the first one stumbling around the United Center.

Hahaha... nice!
I saw PJ at Breslin in 98... really really great show. They know what they're doing.

I was there...scalped tickets, made a serious amount of cash, bought this poster at the show for IIRC $15 and it is now worth north of $500 on my wall:

Damn 90s kids. If you were born after 1989, you suck by default. Sorry, that's just the way it is.

I would think someone born in 1989 would be more of a millenial. They were only 10 by the time the 90's ended.

All I know is, I was born in 1988, and I remember life before computers. I remember MS-DOS. I remember AOL 1.0. OG internet. I had dial-up for years, plural. I remember the joys of scrambled porn (scrambled Spice Channel feed FTW) in the days before you could stream hard core shit over your website of choice. People just a couple years younger than me don't generally share those experiences, and I consider them to be worse for it. Everything is user-friendly now, but it wasn't always that way. I had the original DOOM on 6 floppy disks, and I was damn grateful to have it.
Get off my lawn...

I'm sure the geezers who are even older than me don't appreciate it, either. Lie to us.

I remember, before computers, thinking "Man... this'll be sweet, computers are going to be awesome!" And now they're here and they're fucking annoying as shit.
Phones should have stayed connected to a wall by cords. They should have never become as portable as they have become.
That has single handedly fucked up society.

That game you play as a worm and go around eating apples and it goes faster and faster and your tail gets longer and longer.
That shit was fun.
When CD-ROMs first came out, heh.
