Went nostalgic and bought a fifth of Crown Royal to help dull the pain of being with my family for the weekend. It gone

I bought my brother some of it for X-mas cause he's one of those people. Just want to know if I'll be getting coal in my stocking from him next year or not.
I had it at a whiskey festival out in Ferndale over the summer. Really good bourbon with a strong bite to the finish.
I usually keep one sipping bourbon and one mixing bourbon on hand. Right now I have Eagle Rare for sipping and Four Roses for mixing. Highly recommend them both.

I'm going to stay up late and watch the Warriors game. I didn't trust the wife to drive home with the kids from her mom's house so they're staying the night there. Bachelor night. Watch out ladies. I'm fittin' to get crazy up in here tonight. I might even order pizza!

Day Day sparking a little run here for GSW. They are down 4 midway through the 2nd. Steph just got his 3rd.
I have the over. It's an absurd number (219.5) but pace is decent.

Warriors are playing the Kings, who have kind of been on fire. It's 61-58 Sac at halftime.
I have the b-ball game on the big screen so no, no idea why McManus Blewitt.

I had some Makers last night for the first time in a while. I have to say, it was pretty damn good. I feel like that Bourbon is sort of the 'Sam Adams' of bourbons. It was one of the first better options widely available, got very popular, and then once better options because available dropped off a bit. Both are still pretty damn good, and are worth revisiting from time to time.

I have a bottle of Makers and Angel's Envy in the house. Maybe I'll do a comparison tonight.
Also, how do you take your bourbon? I usually like dropping one or two ice cubes in the bourbon to open up the flavor a bit.
I'd like to learn from a pro on how to taste bourbon better. Is there a glass you recommend?
Thanks!

I always try Whiskey neat first but generally prefer it on the rocks. Try neat and on the rocks and see what you like best. Purists will hate me for this but I prefer Angel's Envy over Maker's...

At Woodford now. I was getting close to being drunk earlier. Had a late lunch and evened everything out. I'm eyeing a frosty four wood bourbon as we wait for the tour.

Jealous. One of the only things I look forward to on Delta Airlines is they serve woodford. One of those is perfect for the flight from Laguardia to DTW.
