Funny story, I grew up in Niles, MI... about 8 or 9 miles from the Golden Dome, but on the Michigan side. My pops was a fund raiser for schools back in the day. He worked for Readers Digest, and he went into schools and told kids to sell magazines, and candy and shit and he would give them a shitty crackerjack prize. I know it sounds like a shit gig, but he somehow brought home 6 figs back in the early 80's and whatever. Anywho, since we were close to ND, somehow he ended up scoring a ride-with to a couple of his bigger kickoff speeches with THE actual real life Rudy. I ended up getting a signed ND pennant from him, and he got Rocket Ismail and Tony Rice to sign it too for me. I was a gigantic ND fanboi back then, so I pretty much covered it in 17 year old boy gizz (actually not, I put it in a plastic bad and protected it with cardboard, and put it in a box... and then one of my brothers druggie friends ended up stealing it, along with a bunch of my sweet ass old school baseball cards and selling it for drug money, but that's a whole nother story..... I hate that fucker, BTW)
