For me, I would have to say there is no harsher reality than the truth that the Geto Boys preach. I really feel Bushwick Bill's pain in his lyrics. Scarface really made me ponder the playground scene in Farmington Hills growing up.

That is why I would put the Geto Boys at the top of my list. Man, those dudes were whimsical.

I was jamming to Stryper most of yesterday. Though I did switch to TNT near the end. I miss the 80s.

Thought about your age, WBH. You grew up in basically a music no-mans-land. Step back a little and listen to some good stuff, when musicians were talented and stuff wasn't over-processed. Have this on vinyl but haven't had the turntable hooked up for years. Almost forgot how great the album is

I like Tom Petty. Some of his music songs are ok in my book.

I really don't care to like music any more than I currently like it. Music snobs are pretentious douchebags in my book. Not all of them. Only the ones that think they're enlightened because they like music. Music is what it is. Noise.

I agree that music snobs are terrible, but we might differ on what constitutes a music snob. I define it as anyone who reads and agrees with Pitchfork. Pitchfork chose Gold Soundz by Pavement as the best song of the 90s.

That song is fucking terrible.
