I'm excited for Saturday. A couple buddies and I are taking our boys. Doubt we'll watch much football but it will be fun to grab some lunch in EL, wander onto campus, get in the stadium, see Sparty, etc. I hope the weather accommodates.

If you see McGarrett tell him I said thanks for kicking a PACE truck, but to keep out of trouble. We need him to win that Natty!

He's doing so well, I might not be able to golf on Saturday, because they might send him home, not because he's doing bad. I'll update the surgery post later, but thank you for asking.WhiteBoyHatcher wrote:InTenSity wrote:

Prediction: Unless some last-minute changes happen, I don't see how the Green offensive line deals with the White defensive line. Plus, White has Cook. Make it 23 points and steak for the White, 17 points and franks for the Green.
Hey Joe: White team has edge in MSU spring game

a buddy of mine told me that one of the Lansing State Urinal writers was whining about Ohio State having nearly 100,000 people at their spring game.. He said it was a comment on their lifestyle/priorities that so many people would attend a spring football game.

I found it comical that anyone whose livelihood is predicated upon people being obsessed with sports would be critical of people who are obsessed with sports.Other Teams Pursuing That wrote:Robert J Sakimano wrote:a buddy of mine told me that one of the Lansing State Urinal writers was whining about Ohio State having nearly 100,000 people at their spring game.. You got a point there Bob, he can't whine about much with how much success MSU athletics is having. Now if we can just get the tailgating restrictions lifted. I agree with you, you're a smart man.

Couch took a pretty good beating over that. With the price to go to a regular season tOSU game and the tight ticket situation the spring game is the only chance many people have to go, take their kids and be able to afford it. Of course when you not only get free admission but also get paid to be there the costs involved aren't something you dwelll on.

yeah, I'm sure if Spartan Stadium was miraculously full on Saturday that he would lament that MSU fans have a distorted view on life's priorities.LooseGoose wrote:Robert J Sakimano wrote:a buddy of mine told me that one of the Lansing State Urinal writers was whining about Ohio State having nearly 100,000 people at their spring game.. Graham Couch gets paid to be at the game. He's the author of the priorities quote that Bob referenced.

Michigan State linebackers adjust to life without Narduzzi
Spring practice is a time for shuffling depth charts and finding replacements for the parts of the roster a team is losing. For Michigan State’s experienced defense, the biggest hole to fill during the past month was on the sideline where former coordinator Pat Narduzzi stood before accepting a head-coaching job at Pittsburgh.
Michigan State promoted two of its defensive assistants to take over Narduzzi’s role and hired Mark Snyder to fill the vacant spot and work with linebackers. At an introductory press conference in January, Snyder said his first goal was to convince his players he cares about them and try to start earning the same level of trust Narduzzi built over a long, successful stay in East Lansing.

Couch: 5 things to watch at MSU football spring game
There is no quarterback controversy. Not even a backup quarterback competition to watch unfold. There isn't need for renewed hope in the form of some fresh skill position player who might just be the piece that triggers a breakout season for the program.
At Michigan State, all of that has been done or decided already. Saturday's spring football game may lack the drama of other years or other places. It is not, however, uninteresting.

An all-time record 1,718 children participated in the today's youth football clinic (previous record: 1,200 in 2014).

Students running out of the tunnel. Going to take a while to corral these semi-sober folks. Herding them like cattle into the stands.

MSU team on the field, now forming a wall so the MSU students who came to the clinic last week can run out.

MSU having some fun - LT in backfield, Nicholson at wideout, Jack Allen running a TD. This is not regular season stuff - most likely.
