very nice..
my daughter (sorry Forbin) wanted to go but has other commitments.. she was bummed.. I told her that with growing up (sorry Forbin) comes certain obligations.. she didn't like it.
let me know how the show goes.
Concert was great. The place was packed and it definitely had a different vibe than a lot of shows. So many people probably thought they'd never get a chance to see them live since they had been broken up for so long so the atmosphere was crazy. They played pretty much the entire Aeroplane record with about 8 or 9 others from their first album + EPs. It was funny how nuts everyone went for any Aeroplane song and then when any other songs played everything went back to normal concert mode. Ended with Ghost Ghost and Two Headed Boy Part 2.

I've only been to Crofoot once and was impressed with the place. The downtown Pontiac area, though, was like a ghost town...
glad you enjoyed the show!

I actually like the ghost townery because it makes it really easy to park and leave. I've been to about 6 concerts there over the past few years (Of Montreal 3 times, Phantogram with Future Islands, NMT and someone else) and I'm a big fan. Nice venue with the outdoor area and balcony. Intimate setting and it doesn't take a whole lot of effort to get close to the stage. Never takes long to get a drink or take a leak. Plus the shows are generally pretty cheap. Generally 15$-25$ and pretty much never above 40$. I was excited they added the Crofoot show because originally they were just doing the Royal Oak Music Theater and I'd take the smaller, seatless venue any day.

I've got this country song rolling around in my head right now, but it won't stop playing--like it's incomplete or something.

yeah - I think they're from Vancouver.. and, yes, they don't sound like at two piece band which makes me wonder if they could pull it off live..Spartan Punk wrote:

Re: What are you listening to right now?
I wonder why kids are trying to rip off Springsteen just now as opposed to years ago... I wonder how long it takes for bands to start ripping off the legends? I mean, these kids, I'm guessing, weren't even alive for Bruce's heydey...
