I don't get this one, either. I notice it often when a State fan says "Spahr-ens." It happens frequently on those poor produced SBS TV spots.

yep - and I know the exact commercial you're referring to.

Seems like SBS would want to promote the idea that it's customers are educated and speak English appropriately.
