That three guys keep defending the fact that there was a chance we wouldn't get in at 13-0, but here we are at 11-1 with a play in game, is funny. BTW, Iowa is a bigger hurdle than so many of us are letting on.

How do you go about explaining to a high school phys ed teacher that the bet was not so much about MSU's chances of getting in at 13-0, and more about the terms of the bet. When you have a ~10% or so chance (at that time, according to the statisticians) of winning $10k by risking $100, you take the bet.

Heck, the terms were so good that I'm willing to still make good on the $100 even though the bet is null and void. There just wasn't a downside here, highlighting Nigel's foolishness.

And then there's the little matter of Nigel having to take out insurance to cover his losses (which he himself admitted, before retracting). Trust me, I didn't have to call Lloyds of London to cover my "hundy" as dwags calls it. Razz

And then there's also the matter of dwags and just about everyone else commenting in that bet thread that MSU HAD to run the table to get in, and if they lost they were out. I can pull up dwags' post saying exactly that, but something tells me that won't matter either. The mental capacity just isn't there to process multiple lines of info at the same time.

Bottom line here Herbie is that we're dealing with a guy who has an alcohol problem so bad that he picks fights and gets his ass kicked by 3 guys over a license plate frame. He's just not very smart.

The best part is that he openly admits he doesn't understand math, that's why hes A gym teacher, then calls us all idiots over and over again because he still can't comprehend what happened since the scenario you were betting on didn't actually play out.

Honestly, it amazed me that I share a degree from the same school as dwags and nigel. Then again, Calc was a pre req for my major....

I got through Calc 3, but it wasn't easy man...Bad memories from Wells Hall. Even to this day I don't like walking near that building.

Secondly, percentages from a month ago mean what as far as an undefeated team AFTER the BigTen Championship? That has been the discussion ALL ALONG.

OSU might make it in without being undefeated and without even playing in the BigTen Championship, and you clowns are still clinging to the idea that an undefeated Big Ten Champ wouldn't make the playoffs?
