MSU has lost 4 games in the last two years. Three of them have been to teams that eventually played in the national championship.

Really good story about Dabo Swinney, not MSU related.
Dabo Swinney lived with his mom in college at Alabama and it made them closer

I'm not even going to worry that he posted vein instead of vain.

I attributed it to a spellchecker.

Didn't know the full Dabo story, but with all the pub with Clemson this year, he just came across as a good dude. This story just confirmed that.
Still, if I root for anyone at all, it will be 'Bama.

An actual reasonable Wojo column:
Wojo: A great, but not complete season for Spartans

Classy shit right there. I have no idea if this kid can throw a football or take a hit... but leadership is not something I'm worried about.
Thanks for the links Goose

Love doing it. I've said it threads before this one, I really think this is the kid that is going to lead us to the next level. Obviously I could end having those words thrown back at me some day but piss on it. He's a winner, a leader and seems to have the talent to make it all work. I may be dead when it happens but 18-19-20 could be some great years for Spartan FB.

The best QB next year is Weaver. The one that hasn't seen a snap on a college practice squad. Every MSU fan knows that.

lol, now that Terry is no longer the football Jesus? I think we see O'Connor for a year, Terry for a year and Weaver for 3 years with Lewerke getting passed over. Time will tell.

It's a safe bet the Spartans will hear more than once that the lopsided 38-0 College Football Playoff semifinal loss to Alabama and departure of 20 seniors signals the end of their modern day golden era.
How many years in a row will we hear this same narrative? Is this tDude?

Re: 2016 Football Thread
In the midst of my boredom today I decided to take a first crack at depth charts for this year - We're not
as inexperienced as some would have you believe.
1st up is Offense - of course much depends on Conklin's decision. Also I moved Delton to Fullback, otherwise he'll barely see the field.
Padla, Beedle - someone is going to need to step up and provide depth in the middle of the line. I really think at least 1 and maybe all 3 new recruit WR's see the field.

And now defense - we're really thin on experience at DE, much more than I realized. The staff may slide some of
our interior experience out there. Otherwise we've got veteran depth everywhere.

Is Sweat on the team right now? Did he go to the Cotton Bowl?

It will be interesting to see where we go with the offense. I don't think the green and white game will be a big indicator of what we'll see. I'm thinking if we do change it up a bit, we'll still come out as vanilla as possible in the spring. Why show ND anything?

I believe he was suspended. That said, until I hear he's gone permanently I assume he'll be back.
