I saw a bunch of white people standing outside The Riv at 7:15 this morning... it's so refreshing to see our college students honoring the military of Mexico in one of their historic battles.

it restores my faith in this generation.

I'll be playing softball in a sombrero tonight and will probably pick up a whole bunch of Taco Bell for my team. I'm also jamming out at work all day to a mariachi type band.

You may point out that it's not even really that big of a deal in Mexico, but here's the thing... This is the last year that we can celebrate this before president trump outlaws it. Better make the most of it while we can.

A Mexican project manager that works at my place mentioned a Mexican restaurant I never heard of today. Called Oaxaca (pronounced wah-ha-ca). What's crazy is it has been open for months and is only a little over a mile from my house. Located in a small strip center where a Chicken Shack closed a couple years ago.

Tried it after work. Place is tiny with only 5 tables, no booze, and the menu is small (tacos, burritos, quesadillas & tortas). The tacos are traditional Mexican (hand made tortillas) and are awesome!

Wish I'd known about the place sooner. @WBH...you gotta check the place out

There's a little place in Waterford on Elizabeth lake road called Taquiera that we go to after golf sometimes. It's fucking amazing. Worth a try if you're ever out there. Straight up authentic, none of the staff really speaks English and there's always some Spanish language channel on the tv. Anyway, get the steak burrito. It's outstanding. I never even really mix it up and get other things like I normally would because it's that good.

I've been there, Trav. Used to work in downtown Pontiac and used to drag my coworkers all over the place to explore places. We had a guy Alejandro who was from Mexico and he loved that joint, Jalapeno's, as well.

Same dude apparently did not understand that driving drunk here was kind of a big deal.
