Yet another Michigan defensive player makes the team as Lewis had the best coverage grade among all returning cornerbacks. Opponents attacked him often to the tune of 90 targets (10th-most in the nation) and he responded by surrendering only 33 catches (36.7 percent) while getting his hands on 15 passes and intercepting two more. King brings a different style to the table as he’s an excellent zone defender with strong ball skills as evidenced by his eight interceptions and 12 passes defensed a year ago. His run grade ranked third in the nation last season and he may be the nation’s best tackling cornerback after missing only five tackles on 138 attempts the last two years.

I think MSU right now has an ok shot to beat UM, but special teams needs to vastly improve and we probably need to win the turnover battle.

MSUs OL is going to suck this year. Fucking Machado and Beedle as the tackles? For real?

And you know better than comparing teams from different seasons.  OSU simply wasnt a great team last year.  Meyer screwed up the QB situation, and OSU played some crap teams close and really didnt look all that great most of the year.  On paper OSU should have won it all, but games arent played on paper.

I think OSU had players with huge egos, and after winning it all the year before, wasnt as hungry.

In 2014, the OSU players and coaches said MSU was THE game that had circled, waited all year to avenge the 2013 loss and they played with their hair on fire.  Last year in 2015, MSU had the OSU game circled and layed more inspiring than OSU did.  Its the fluidity of collegiate athletics, you know that.

What I will say though, is as long as Harbs is at UM, MSU they will match our intensity that we normally held and advantage in under RR and Hoke.
