This thing is a piece of shit. Probably used it a dozen times and it's already sticking and basically unusable. I actually sprayed some grapeseed oil in it before trying to scramble this egg as a precaution. Fuck you ESPNEWS.

I tried to warn you the honeymoon would be short.   Fucking non stick pans theory - buy the cheap shit and plan to toss them out 2-3 times a year.

I got this 3 piece set back in August for $20, I see they're $25 now.   But still non sticking, when they start it's off to the trash and order another.  I love my cast iron for meat but it sucks for eggs, etc.

I have been using the same nonstick for years. Just add a little coconut oil, use silicone flipper, and don't wash until completely cooled.

Edit: it is a calphalon.

I may have to try one of theirs, I've never had one last that long including other pretty good name brands.

All non-stick is just paint. I've seen this get manufactured. Rolled steel (or aluminum) coils get coated by the non-stick paint. Then a stamping machines stamps out and presses into shape the pot or pan.

But it is all just paint. You are cooking on paint.

Ive got a copper pan from marshalls, probably the same as sold on tv.

I don't use forks in it like the commercials show - just silicone utensils - and it is still just as nonstick as the first use

I made a killer omelette in a cast iron pan this morning. Just needs to be seasoned and you need to use a lot of butter. Mmmmm.

My kitchen is a real melting pot. Half is Calphalon (hard anodized, not nonstick) and half nonstick T-Fal. I swear the best pan I have is the silly Wearvever iron-clad silverstone thing I bought at the grocery store for $12. Going on 13 years old and it still makes the best eggs.
