Married guys ?? "Getting ready"

How much of your life have you waited for your significant other to "get ready" to go out?

24 years of marriage. Average wait time 45 minutes to 75 minutes. (Takes me 10 to 15 minutes to shower and be ready her 60-70)

First five years of marriage go out twice a week average. = 104 hours

Next five at least once a week maybe more= @ 75 hours

Next ten years three times a month. @ 40 hours

Last four with independent kids again 5 times a month = 60 hours.
In there birthday parties weddings funerals family shit I don't count as dates 5-10 a year probably closer to five so that times 24 years I'm saying at least 140 hours.

That's about 419 total hours I've most likely been "waiting" for her to finish up so we can go.


That's like 17 1/2 days I've been just fucking waiting. Add this hour too

I am as an impatient of an asshole as you will find.  I hate waiting.  I don't wait.  They should feature me in a Jimmy John's commercial.

The way my wife and I work - we set a time.  As long as she is ready at that time, who cares.  It could take her three hours to get ready, I don't care.  Just be ready when we decided.

Now, if I could only get my two year-old on board.

From my experience, there's a direct correlation between how hot a chick is and how much time it takes her to get ready. The hotter they are, the more they like looking hot so the longer they take to do their hair/put on makeup/change into the perfect outfit etc. I'm good with that.

In my wife's case, this. She uses very little makeup and always looks good. I'm just glad she hates going to parties and fundraisers as much as I do. It's probably cost us a couple of friendships but fuck em. We enjoy each other's company more than we do anyone else's, which is probably good since we're, you know, married.

You've never lived with a girl have you? It's not the make up. The fuck? It's having their cocktail up in the bedroom, it's having a tv show dvr'd on, it's putting clothes on the bed and looking at them , it's fucking ritualistic. It's like us warming up in the lay up line before a game. They aren't working on their face for an hour.

That's the frustrating part. If they'd just do the hair face clothes it's 20 minutes tops. That's not what happens.

My parents were married for 59 years. Mom took forever to go anywhere, especially church.

Dad estimates he spent about a year of his life waiting.
