Everything else is there. I don't trust Mcquaids development. Winston is fine but we need that killer Mo Pete to throw daggers at opponents right at crucial times.

Mcquaid is too inconsistent.
Langford lighting it up would be great. Someone to make a big shot when we don't score for 4 minutes.

Bridges and Ward will carry the team.

Or when we're up 4 with a minute ten left and they've taken our lead from 9 to 4 in the last 40 seconds and they're worried about Jackson Ward and Bridges then Langford just puts a knife in their heart from three.
If McQuaid keeps improving and becomes more confident that's cool, but like you I'm skeptical.

McQuaid (and everyone really) needs to stay healthy this offseason so they can get all the work in and carry it into the season. I think that's why he started rounding into form and playing better as the year wound down.
I think we'll be fine. Langford can shoot and can put it on the floor. Between McBuckets and Ahrens we should have our sharpshooter.

Anyone developing a consistent jumper is critical. Opens up so much of Ward's game. Same for Winston.

I thought Langford looked decent last year and showed little fear. People will be keying on Bridges giving Josh some looks. You may be on to something Wags.

Langford is absolutely the key to this team's success next year. We know Bridges and Ward are going to get theirs but we need an elite shooting guard to really spread the floor. Idk how many times I have to say it here but Langford is going to be the best player from that class, you all wait and see. His ceiling is incredibly high due to his size, athleticism, his pure shooting stroke and ability to take shots off the dribble which pretty much nobody else on the team can do.

Winston getting phyically stronger seems like the obvious key to me

In a word, no. A healthy and improved Cassius Winston is the key to winning it all.

We need to be able to eat more fouls inside.
Re: Is Langford turning into a dead ball sharp shooter the key next year?
I think another big key is to see if we can get Tum up to 35% or so as a shooter. Hopefully he can stay healthy in the offseason and play big minutes at Moneyball and whatnot and work on his shot. He is going to start and play significant minutes at the 1 so we need to make sure he can at least occasionally knock down a jumper.

I thought he was hitting his shots pretty well in Moneyball last summer?

I don't think Tum starts if Winston takes a step defensively

Nairn needs to develop a shot or a move to the hole.

Ya know... really, it's better Langford then Ward or Winston or McQuaid. Ahrens is good enough to fill those shoes. McQuaid/Goins can pick up scoring.
Ward/Winston/McQuaid (backup pg and D) would really shift the season. Langford... meh.

Winston is the one guy we can't lose for any period of time. Tilman could hold down the fort if Ward went down for a few games. Without Cash, this team would be fucked.

I don't worry at all about losing Ward. I love Tillman and Goins, and I generally prefer when we go a little smaller anyhow.

Has to be that dreaded high Ankle sprain.
Or the MSU stress fracture.

11-18.
9-20 if Langford shoots less than 80% from 3 and Winston does not average a triple double.

6-26 if Izzo gets a stress fracture in his foot and is in a cast all season.

Langford has better chance of getting a stress fracture in both his legs than neither.
